Are we alone? Are there more planets like Earth out there in the vast Universe?
Back in (384-322 B.C.) Aristotle said: “There cannot be more worlds than one.”. Then (341-270 B.C.) Epicurus had a different perspective: “There are infinite worlds both like and unlike this world of ours.”
And last Wednesday, the crew of scientists interpreting the data of NASA’s Kepler Mission, announced the discovery of 715 new planets! [here is the whole Kepler-planet-bonanza if you feel like digging into the fascinating data]. This adds to a total of close to ~1,700 “known” extrasolar planets with a potential to expand to ~3,600. Just in case you missed this DailyGood with sister Natalie Batalha, it is a must see/hear: Exoplanets and Love (audio here). What a ONEderful reminder about the place our home, the beloved Earth, plays in the Cosmos! Perhaps it is time to awaken and to start behaving as the beloved Earth Community that we could be.
So much potential! Earth is but ONE country and all living beings, visible and invisible, her citizens. Jai Jagat! and Terra Sapiens ahoy!
So today, our dearest elder, brother Bill Borucki (2014 A.D.): “:-)”

May all become compassionate, courageous and wise.
